We are delighted to have been awarded a 2022 BADC Silver Award for the brand identity we produced for Flannerys. Theory also picked up a Finalist nomination for our brand identity work with Bizvideo.
BADC (Brisbane Advertising and Design Club) exist to promote creative excellence within the Brisbane (and wider south-east Queensland) advertising and design industry. All of this years’ BADC Award winners can be viewed here.
With stores across Queensland and New South Wales , Flannerys are one of Australia’s leading natural, organic and wholefood stores, providing healthy alternatives for over 30 years.
Flannerys required an updated brand identity to better align with their organic roots and community values. Looking to attract a younger demographic without alienating their existing customers, Flannerys were keen to reconnect with the neighbourhoods they serve.
Our solution features a contemporary ‘imperfect’ wordmark that demonstrates the organic, wholesome and authentic nature of Flannerys. We also crafted a unique logo formed around the concept of a flourishing tree. Featuring an ‘F’ at its heart, Flannerys’ core values (trust, passion, authenticity, knowledge and community) are represented through the five branches. Strong roots symbolise natural sustenance, community ties and the three main product offerings (organic, wholefoods, wellbeing).
Bizvideo are a video production agency who use emotional storytelling to elevate businesses out of obscurity. With a strong focus on the construction industry, bizvideo are pioneers in their field with a unique ability to create clarity for their clients and, in turn, transform their businesses.
The logo we crafted for bizvideo is bold, confident, engaging and timeless. The minimal aesthetic reflects bizvideo’s approach to provide clarity and well represents the notions of collaboration, growth and transformation. Dynamic in it’s appearance, this logo reflects a forward thinking and pioneering organisation with transformation at its heart. Although not immediately obvious, the core service offering is subtly represented through the triangular ‘play button’ inspired shapes.
