We believe that a well designed mural has the ability to brighten-up and inject life into spaces that may have been previously dull or uninspired. Our process sees Theory design bespoke artwork which is relevant to the surrounding area and then meticulously hand-paint onto the selected wall.
Over the last few years, Theory have worked with various clients to craft vibrant, engaging murals across prominent Gold Coast locations.
The below article showcases three of our favourite mural projects to date.
Inspired by the local surroundings, we brought to life a prominent 80m2 wall housing the Garden Centre at Burleigh Stockland. Painted over three days, we designed and created an artwork inspired by classic seaside graphics. Featuring plants and foliage and utilising bright pastel colours, the mural celebrates Burleigh’s natural sun-drenched beauty and references the garden centre contained within.
Pacific Fair Busway Mural
Theory were tasked with injecting some colour into the previously lifeless busway at Pacific Fair, Broadbeach. Drawing inspiration from historical imagery and vintage Pacific Fair advertising, we were able to design a bright and lively geometric artwork that is relevant to its location. Taking three days to paint, the mural transforms the dull thoroughfare into a bright and welcoming space.
Full case study and images of finished artwork coming soon.
Together GC Mural, Coolangatta
Following the success of the Together GC campaign, we were approached by Gold Coast City Council to extend the campaign through a painted mural. The resulting artwork features a positive message taken from the original campaign and is located on the John Cunningham Lifeguard Centre, Marine Parade, Coolangatta.
